From Faro airport to Vinha Velha by car

Follow the Blue sign A22 direction Portimão. At the end of the highway take the second exit at the roundabout to Bensafrim. Drive straight through and follow the sign Barao de São to the right.
In Barao de São João turn left at the church, then immediately right (towards Sagres). To the right is a red sign reading (correios). After a few meters take another right and follow the sign 'Mata Nacional.' The twisty, narrow road takes you straight up the hill. Follow the dirt road into 'Mata Nacional' until you see a white sign with black letters saying 'Vinha Velha.' Turn left. Keep on following the colourful hand made sign labeled Vinha Velha.
With public Transport:
Directly from the airport there is a bus to Faro station.
From there take the train to Lagos. It's a nice track with a comfortable pace. Get off at Lagos train station.
From there, it is best to take a taxi to Barao de Sao Joao (costs between 15-20euros). There is also a bus, but it runs irregularly.
From Barao there is the possibility of being picked up by us.
With the shuttle bus:
Takes you directly from Faro airport to Barao de São João. Costs 25 Euros per person.
